What is Breathwork

Your breath is a powerful transformational tool available to help you explore your body, your heart, your soul and your way of being in the world.

Consciously using your breath to connect to the deeper aspects of yourself is one of the most effective ways of creating space for a transmutation to occur from deep within, bringing your mind, body and heart into greater alignment with your truest nature. A way to move beyond that which is unhelpful and in the road of being truly and powerfully available to life.

At Transmute Breathwork we use Conscious Connected Breathing, body awareness and relaxation to enter a meditative and altered-state of consciousness. In this state, participants may access memories, thoughts, feelings. movements and sensations from their subconscious world, which are then amplified towards release, reframing and deep integration.

Group Breathwork is a useful practice for:

  • working with unhelpful, held or stuck emotional material;
  • unlocking your life force and sense of vitality;
  • discharging stress, tension, anxiety, depression or stuck energy;
  • accessing and digesting unprocessed distressing experiences from the past;
  • understanding and repatterning limiting behaviours or thought processes;
  • using group energy to go deeper into your own process;
  • addressing relational material and experiencing being supported in a group setting;
  • working with and releasing ancestral, family systems and transpersonal wounds;
  • body concerns (including eating disorders);
  • sex and sexuality (including matters relating to the LGBTIQ+ community);
  • exploring consciousness and life questions; and
  • improving general well-being.

Breathwork Considerations:

  • Transmute Breathwork strictly limits the numbers of participants per event in order to provide a high level of safety and support.
  • This style of Breathwork is NOT meditation or mindfulness but rather a dynamic body and breath based form of healing, transformation and deep inner unfolding. It is common to experience emotions and bodily sensations, for the body to move, for participants to make sounds and for memories and images to arise. These are all normal expressions of the subconsious and helpful in transforming our experiences of ourselves and life.
  • Transmute Breathwork offers a trauma sensitive experience however group Breathwork is not suitable for all people. In such cases it might be more beneficial to contact Amber or Joshua for a personal one on one session.
  • Please note Breathwork is NOT suitable for: people with cardiovascular problems, pregnancy, some psychiatric conditions, psychosis, recent surgery or fractures, acute infectious illness or epilepsy, severe hypertension, glaucoma, or active spiritual emergency.
