Professional Breathwork Training 2027-28

A 12–16 month journey into the practice, art and responsibility of holding space.

Personal Quest is where we begin.

The professional training is where we go deeper.

This is not simply about learning how to facilitate Breathwork. It is about becoming the kind of practitioner who can meet what arises with presence, curiosity, skill and care.

Across three progressive modules, we weave together personal exploration, Breathwork theory and practice, relational work, somatic and energetic approaches, current science, trauma-informed practice, deep mystic traditions, communication, client work, ethics and professional development.

THE TRAINING JOURNEY

MODULE 1 · PERSONAL QUEST
4 months

The foundation is you.

Connection to Self · Connection to Other · Connection to Larger Self · Connection to Mystery

A deep exploration of your own inner landscape, relationships, body, energy, nature and consciousness.

Personal Quest can be completed as a stand-alone journey of personal development, or continued into the professional training.

MODULE 2 · PRACTITIONER DEVELOPMENT
Approx. 6 months – 2028

Here we begin to turn towards the craft of holding space for another.

We explore the history and development of Breathwork, breathing mechanics and nervous system models, Breathwork session structure, Conscious Connected Breathing, touch and consent, bodywork, relational dynamics, process oriented psychotherapy, family systems, parts work, relational dynamics, developmental theory, human needs models, building rapport and therapeutic relationships, energy work, shamanism, animism, mystic traditions, trauma sensitivity, communication, presenting issues and the client-practitioner relationship.

There is a strong emphasis on experiential learning, practice and supervision. Because knowing about something and being able to embody it in the room are two very different things.

MODULE 3 · STUDENT CLINIC & PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Approx. 3–6 months

The final stage brings learning into practice.

Through supervised student clinic work, we develop the capacity to work with real clients, recognise what is arising, respond appropriately and stay grounded in the relationship.

We explore professional ethics, scope of practice, record keeping, business considerations, professional standards and the ongoing responsibilities of working as a Breathwork practitioner.

LEARNING THAT LIVES IN THE BODY

There will be theory. There will be maps, frameworks, anatomy and skills.

But there will also be a lot of practice.

Because we believe Breathwork is something you learn with your whole being.

The training is designed to develop practitioners who can remain curious rather than certain, relational rather than performative, and grounded enough to meet both the beauty and complexity of this work.

THE PATHWAY

Personal Quest forms the foundational first module of the professional training.

For those who continue, the full pathway is designed as an immersive 12–16 month professional training, with a combination of online learning, in-person weekends, retreat, experiential practice, student clinic work and supervision.

Our intention is to provide a pathway towards Australian Breathwork Association endorsed practitioner status, alongside the personal development, practical skills and professional foundations required for responsible Breathwork practice.

Professional training planned for Jan 27 (Model 1) and Jan 28 (Modules 2 and 3).
